Mr. Yusupov works in the former Soviet Union countries. Previously he represented American Agribusiness Equipment, a Washington, DC-based trade association involved in agri-business projects in the former Soviet Union, where he generated sales leads and worked on a number of U.S. TDA feasibility studies and missions. He has also worked in the U.S. for a trading company developing projects in Central Asian republics. From 1973 to 1996 he held a series of senior positions in Uzbekistan government with an emphasis in agriculture, finishing as the Director of the Diplomatic Service in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He holds a Ph.D. in Economic Science from Central Asian Institute of Agricultural Economics, Tashkent, USSR, an MS in Graduate Professional Qualification Studies, Academy of National Economy, Moscow, USSR, and a BS in Engineering (Thermal Power) from Moscow Institute of Energy, Moscow, USSR. He also holds a Certificate from the Belgian Institute for Training in Technical Assistance and Transfer of Technology (IBF), European Economic Community, Brussels, Belgium. He has authored more than 40 scientific and technical articles, publications and directives. He speaks Russian, Uzbek, and English.
