Interlink Capital Strategies as a Launching Point for High-performing Interns

2/21/2020

An internship at Interlink Capital Strategies provides invaluable experience in international finance and emerging markets and attracts high-performing and self-motivated candidates for full and part time internships. Former interns have leveraged their experience at Interlink to obtain remarkable positions globally: commercial real estate in Hong Kong, investment banking in Beijing, asset management at Morgan Stanley, management consultant at PWC, energy finance at The World Bank, and an energy advisor at an intelligence agency, to name a few. Several past interns are pursuing degrees at Columbia Law School and Johns Hopkins.

In January, Interlink onboarded its 2020 Spring-term interns: Evan Hoppenstein, Rami Mamlouk, Andrew Cho, Jackson Cluff and Su Zekai.  Evan is a junior at the George Washington University. In addition to being a scratch golfer and a cancer survivor, is a double major in Finance and Economics and completed a previous accounting and credit internship at a financial advisory firm in Los Angles. Rami is a native of Lebanon and fluent in French, Arabic, and English. Rami is a finance major at American University and has previously completed internships at venture capital and asset management firms in Dubai. Rami is assisting with Interlink’s Middle East opportunities. Andrew is a senior at the George Washington University majoring in international business and statistics. Besides his studies and his internship duties, Andrew serves as captain of GWU’s varsity swim and dive team. Jackson is graduating Spring of 2020 with a Bachelors in Finance at Brigham Young University and previously completed a finance internship at a major investment bank. Jackson’s time with Interlink will be short as he recently signed a professional baseball contract with Washington Nationals. The Interlink team looks forward to visiting him in his new work setting when he makes it to Nationals Park. Su graduated with his Bachelors in Economics in Beijing and is currently pursuing his Master of Finance in the U.S. Prior to his arrival in the United States, he was involved in several investment agency internships and spent over a year as the Executive Director at an investment company in Fujian, China.
Interlink Capital Strategies provides invaluable experience to young professionals interested in international finance and business and attracts high-performing and self-motivated candidates for full and part-time internships. Due to the unique opportunities offered here, the internship positions have become very competitive, with current and former interns setting high bars for those that will follow. In the last few years, former interns have leveraged their experience at Interlink to obtain notable positions globally, including: commercial real estate in Hong Kong, investment banking in Beijing, asset management at Morgan Stanley, management consultant at PWC, energy finance at The World Bank, and an energy advisor at a U.S. intelligence agency, to name a few. Several others are currently pursuing graduate degrees at Columbia Law School and Johns Hopkins.
Interlink benefits greatly from the experience, ideas and work of its talented and diverse intern classes. Interns work as analysts and make vital contributions on a wide variety of projects and transactions, while receiving training and guidance from senior staff. Assignments range from assisting with project finance advisory work, underwriting trade loans, and performing consulting services for international clients seeking to strengthen ties in the U.S. or domestic companies seeking to enter or get financing in emerging and frontier markets.
