As a financial executive with over 30 years in commercial and investment banking in the U.S. and Asia, Mr. Corrigan has excellent skills in the areas of trade finance, commercial lending and loan syndication, securities transactions, loan workouts and international private banking and trust. Recruited by OPIC to engage in international project finance, Mr. Corrigan managed an $18 billion loan portfolio with responsibility for overall credit quality and reserves. Previously, he headed up OPIC’s initiative to increase penetration of middle market companies expanding overseas and established its push into financing or insuring housing and mortgage finance in developing markets. Recently he was instrumental in setting up the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Guarantee Program, a multi-billion dollar green energy program designed to encourage the project financing of clean energy technologies produced and deployed in the United States. Given the DOE had never done any lending or loan guarantees, Mr. Corrigan was key to providing program guidelines, structuring advice and ultimately staffing the department in this high profile government program. Previously he worked for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Asian American Capital Corporation, Barclay’s Bank (Singapore) and Chase Manhattan Bank (Malaysia, Singapore, New York) for fourteen years. Mr. Corrigan is a Captain (Ret.) in the U.S. Air Force. He graduated from Manhattan College and did graduate studies at the University of Maryland and Pace University.
